25-May-2012, Friday.

     Today in music theory class, we continued doing the assessment because some of us wasn't able to perform the baroque music. After everyone finished performing, Mr. Sadrakh announced our scores and asked some people to re-do, especially the people who are playing the flute. Some people still hasn't improve but some did. After the people who had to re-do was finished, Mr. Sadrakh asked all of us who wanted to re-do, but i didn't want to because i stopped practicing the song and i was afraid i did worst from last time so i refused. Then, Mr. Sadrakh announced our scores again for the essay test, the blog scores, and our music baroque performance score. I think i did a great job in all of it because i passed all of it. I'm glad that i managed to to all the assessment great! :) 

     Today we did not have any music instrument class.  

23-May-2012, Tuesday.

     Today in music theory class, is the day of our music assessment which is to play our baroque music using our instrument. I was the 5th person to perform because Mr. Sadrakh asked the students who join piano as their music instrument class to go 1st, 2nd guitar, 3rd violin, and last but not least the woodwind. I think i did well, but i need to improve on my tempo, in the middle part i was too fast and at the ending it became slower, i also stopped at the last note because i was confused.

   Today we did not have any music instrument class.

16-May-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in music theory class, I heard some of my friends that were asked to perform their song again infront of the whole class. The flute students who played infront of the whole class wer improving from last week.

     Today in music instrument class, we practiced our baroque music again. While playing Mr. Herry was observing us play one by one and told us what we needed to improve. Mr. Herry said that i need to not stop between the next lines. 

11-May-2012, Friday.

     Today in music theory class, we reviewed notations, i'm glad we reviewed about notations because i forgot most of it. After reviewing, we watched the rest of the students who wasn't able to perform their notations on Wednesday. They were all good, except for the flute students.

     Today we did not have any music instrument class.

9-May-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in the music theory class, all of us practice playing our baroque song in front of the whole class using our instrument. I need to improve more on my tempo, sometimes i play it too fast and all of a sudden i become slower.

     Today in music instrument class, we practiced our baroque song again. Mr. Herry told me i need to practice more on my left hand because on the second page my left hand made mistakes.

4-May-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in music theory class, Mr. Sadrakh suddenly gave us a comprehension quiz about Johann Sebastian Bach. But before the test Mr. Sadrakh told us that the comprehension test helps us get extra points just incase we did not do the essay test well.

     Today we did not have any music instrument class because we had to do the comprehension test.

2-May-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in music theory class, Mr. Sadrakh gave us our essay test. I think i did really well and i was able to answer all the questions because before the essay test, i read through all my notes about Baroque Music. But before the test Mr. Sadrakh gave us all the definition words that is in the test. So, i read it from my music book.

     Today we had no music instrument class because we had to do our essay test.

     Today we did not have any music classes because we went on a field trip to waterbom :)

25-April-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in the music theory class, Mr. Sadrakh called some of us to stand in front of every one and asked us some questions regarding what do you know about Baroque music? Sone composer names in the Baroque times and what are some famous music pieces created in the Baroque times. I needed to read all about the Baroque music because i couldn't really answer some questions even though Mr. Sadrakh did not ask me to answer.

     Today in music instrument class, we practiced our song, mine was the Minuet 1. I did the first 16 bars great, but still need to improve more in the others.

20-April-2012, Friday.

     Today in music theory class, some people got a chance to re-do for those who got a bad score, but i didn't because i i passed the passing score. The people who had to re-do did a better job, they improved a lot form the first time.

     Today in music theory class, Mr. Herry asked all of us to perform our baroque song using the piano in front of our friends one by one. I need to improve more in the second page because i stopped a lot.

18-April-2012, Wednesday.

     Today in music theory class, We did our singing western song assessment, the title is "Santa Lucia". All of my friends sang good, but some were not because they sang too soft. I think i sang quite bad because i sang too soft. Next singing assessment i should try to sing more louder. 

     Today we did not have any music instrument class because of the singing assessment. 

13 April 2012, Semester 2 Term 4

     Today at music theory class,  we performed our song that we all have to sing for our singing assessment. All of us sang two by two infront of the whole class, my partner was Tasia. I didn't really sang good in the practice assessment because i sang really softly and i kept laughing at the beginning. I need to improve more before the singing assessment so i will have to practice more.

     Today at music instrument class, we only had 10 minutes left till music class is over, so Mr. Herry played a few songs from the Baroque book that has some of the famous Baroque piano sheet. For our homework, Mr. Herry asked us to choose a song that we will play in the assessment by next week. 

11 April 2012, Semester 2 Term 4.

     Today at music theory class, Mr. Sadrakh gave our baroque booklet back so that we can practice for our test which is to write an essay about baroque music. Later, Mr. Sadrakh discussed about our blogs, he announced all of our scores. I'm quite happy with my score, i got 6/8.

     Today at music instrument class, Mr. Herry had to leave the class because he had a meeting with Mr. Peter. But before he left, he gave us 2 books that has most of the famous baroque piano music sheets we can play for our next assessment which is to play a baroque music piece with our instrument.

25 Januray 2012

     Today we didn't have music instrument class because we had and assessment to do. My partner, Carissa and me got a good score for singing our Indonesian song, we got a perfect score which is 10/10. Today was also very fun, we all got to listen to our friends sing :) .

20 January 2012

     Today in the music theory class, we checked our homework about notation. Jocelyn checkd my homework and my score was 3/5. Mr. Sadrakh gave us good news regarding our assessment. The good news was that our singing assessment of the indonesian song is moved to next week. Since we have plenty of time, we practiced singing the indonesian song.

      Today in music instrument class, we learned how to play 2 octave C and G major scale. I have difficulties playing the 2 octave C major scale. I need to improve more in the 2 octave C major scale. Mr. Herry also gave us a homework to practice playing the C. G, D, A, and E major scale.

18 January 2012

     Today in our music theory class, we learned about the natural scale and notation. We each wrote down the natural scale and notation in our music book. Mr. Sadrakh also gave us a small quiz by asking us about the notation and natural scale to see whether we understood or not. 

     Today in our music instrument class for piano students, we shared our phone numbers, emails, and BB pin to each other just incase we needed help from each other. Mr. Herry also gave us an introduction on what we will learn and what we will do.
